South Korea is located in North East Asia. Since the split of Korea in the 1950's, It has become one of the richest countries in Asia and perhaps even in the world.
Like Japan, South Korea has managed to create an ultra modern society while holding on to very traditional roots.

Travel to Seoul: The capital of South Korea is a modern city with a long history. This ancient city has been the capital of Korea since the 14th century. Explore Seoul by starting in the old city at the South Gate, which used to be the main entrance to the city.

Sights worth visiting in Seoul: Toksu Palace, The Kyongbok Palace (built in 1395), Tonggunung tombs Chonsugongbang, Pomun-sa Temple.

Travel to Pusan: Pusan is the second-largest city in South Korea. It is a big industrial port with almost 4 million inhabitants. Pusan is also the departure point for Cheiu Island.

Sights worth visiting in Pusan: the view from Pusan Tower in Yongdusan Park, Yi Sun-shin statue, U.N. Cemetery (where fallen U.N. soldiers from the Korean War are buried) and the Municipal Museum.

TAIWAN
Taiwan is located about 160 kilometers off the southeastern coast of the Chinese mainland and between Korea and Japan in the north and The Philippines to the south. The island is considered one of the most beautiful in the Pacific. The island is landscaped with high mountains looking down into the forested foothills, beautiful waterfalls, lakes and hot springs are a feast for the eye. The capital city is Taipei, other major cities include Taichung and Kaohsiung.

Travel to Taipei: Taipei is located in northern Taiwan and is the government and cultural center. The Japanese colonized Tapei in 1895 and continue to contribute to it's economic development.
